2025/26 Tanzanian Premier League
Matchday 19
3-5 April 2026
Simba will be hoping to make up more ground on Tanzanian Premier League leaders Young Africans on matchday 19.
Young Africans will be determined to snap a three-match winless run when they host Tanzania Prisons at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium on Saturday, April 4.
Yanga have opened the door for Simba in the title race after drawing their last three outings against Azam (0-0), TRA United (0-0) and Mtibwa Sugar (1-1).
Pedro Goncalves' side are still seven points clear of their arch-rivals, but have played two games more and they will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

There are concerns that the suspension of first-choice goalkeeper Djigui Diarra for the next three matches could affect the team, but a club official believes they have adequate cover between the sticks.
"We have no concerns at all. We have two very good goalkeepers who are capable of performing the role that Diarra has been playing," Yanga communications officer Ali Kamwe said.
"We have built a strong squad across all departments, and the competition within the team gives us the strength to keep pushing forward."
Prisons are facing the real threat of relegation after a 2-1 loss to Singida Black Stars on March 18 extended their winless run to four games and left them three points adrift of safety in 15th place.
Simba will be keen to keep the momentum going when they lock horns with Azam at the Azam Complex Stadium on Sunday, April 5.
The Reds of Msimbazi are undefeated since Steve Barker took charge in December and a 3-0 victory over TRA United on March 22 took them within seven points of the summit.
The Bakers are just two points behind Barker's side in third position, but they too have dropped crucial points in recent weeks, drawing four of their last five matches.
JKT Tanzania will be seeking an immediate response when they face Namungo at the Majaliwa Stadium on Saturday, April 4.
Wajenga Nchi tasted defeat for the first time in four games as Young Africans put five unanswered goals past them on March 25 to dent their CAF Confederation Cup challenge.
JKT trail Azam by one point in fourth spot, having played two games more and the eighth-placed Southern Killers are a further seven points back after extending their winless run to seven matches with a 2-0 loss to TRA United on March 11.
Elsewhere, Mbeya City (14th) and Kinondoni MC (16th) square off in a relegation six-pointer at the Sokoine Stadium, Dodoma Jiji (9th) take on Fountain Gate (6th) at the Jamhuri Stadium and TRA United (10th) welcome Singida Black Stars (6th) to the Ali Hassan Mwinyi Stadium.
