Career Overview
Rushine De Reuck developed in Cape Town and began his senior progression with ASD Cape Town and the reserve structure linked to Paços de Ferreira. He continued with Milano United, later known as Ubuntu Cape Town, before moving into South Africa’s top division with Maritzburg United in 2017.
De Reuck became a regular centre-back at Maritzburg United. His league performances established him in the PSL and led to a move to Mamelodi Sundowns in January 2021. At Sundowns, he joined a squad competing for domestic titles and in the CAF Champions League.
His time with Sundowns included league, domestic cup and continental appearances. De Reuck won domestic honours with the club and gained experience in a possession-focused defensive structure. Injuries limited his availability during parts of the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons. In 2023/24, he made three PSL appearances for 204 minutes and played a full CAF Champions League match.
De Reuck moved on loan to Maccabi Petah Tikva in January 2025. He made four Israeli Premier League appearances and completed 314 minutes during the second half of the 2024/25 season. The loan was his first senior club spell outside Africa.
Simba SC signed De Reuck on a free transfer in July 2025. He was assigned squad number 23 and quickly became part of the club’s central defensive group. His 2025/26 Tanzanian Premier League record included six appearances, 495 minutes and two goals. One of those goals came in Simba’s league victory over Namungo, when he converted a second-half chance.
His first Simba season also included CAF Champions League involvement and a role in the club’s domestic programme. In March 2026, Simba confirmed that De Reuck had extended his contract ahead of the following season.
