Mohammed Bajaber Profile, Stats and Career Overview

Mohammed Omar Ali Bajaber, commonly known as Mohammed “Hamudi” Bajaber, was born on Mar 15, 2003 in Nairobi, Kenya. He can play as a left winger, attacking midfielder or advanced supporting forward.

Football runs in the family: his father, Omar Ali Bajaber, also played in the Kenyan league. Mohammed’s own route moved from academy football to Nairobi City Stars, Kenya Police and then Simba, with each step testing him at a higher competitive level.

Career Overview

Mohammed Bajaber began his football education at Starfield Academy in Nairobi. His promise earned him a trial with Danish club FC Midtjylland in 2021 and a first senior opportunity with Nairobi City Stars, initially on loan, in February 2022.

Bajaber made his Kenyan Premier League debut against Tusker in May 2022. After a first full campaign interrupted by injury, he became a more consistent attacking influence. His 2023/24 return of six league goals and four assists showed the blend of creativity and finishing that could make him effective as either an attacking midfielder or a wide forward.

He scored four times for City Stars during the first half of 2024/25 before joining Kenya Police in February 2025. The move produced an immediate surge: available records credit him with five goals in five appearances. That form also pushed him into the senior Kenya team, where he scored against The Gambia shortly after his call-up.

Simba signed Bajaber in August 2025. His first league appearance arrived against Mbeya City in December, when he entered in the 84th minute and scored with his first touch one minute later. The cameo was an efficient introduction to Tanzanian football, although his opportunities remained limited during the rest of the season.

Bajaber strengthened his international record in June 2026 by scoring twice against Lesotho. Six caps and three goals represent a strong early return and give him a growing profile beyond club football.
