Tanzanian Premier League title hopefuls Simba will look to ramp up the pressure on defending champions Young Africans after making a winning start to the new season under Fadlu Davids.
Yanga have yet to kick a ball on the domestic front due to their involvement in the CAF Champions League and the Msimbazi Reds have a chance to open up a six-point gap on their arch-rivals.
Simba kicked off proceedings with a 3-0 victory over Tabora United and they'll be hoping to make it two wins from two when Fountain Gate arrive at the KMC Stadium on Sunday, August 25.
The Singida outfit were due to play Namungo on August 17 but the match was postponed, meaning their season will now get underway in Dar es Salaam.

Davids was buoyed by his team's performance against Tabora and believes the supporters will find their brand of football exciting.
"I have no doubt that our team will perform exceptionally well this season. We're preparing in a way that will not only make us competitive but also provide entertainment for our fans," he said.
"We're working hard, and I believe that in a short time, we'll be where I want us to be. I want a fast-paced and effective style of play. We're progressing well in that regard."
In the other game taking place on Sunday, Namungo will get their campaign rolling against Tabora United at the Majaliwa Stadium.
Meanwhile, the weekend's action starts with a clash between Mashujaa and Tanzania Prisons at the Lake Tanganyika Stadium on Friday, August 23.
Mashujaa began the new season on a positive note after edging Dodoma Jiji 1-0 on August 17, with Tanzania Prisons holding Pamba Jiji to a 0-0 draw one day prior.
Elsewhere around the country, Pamba Jiji take on Dodoma Jiji at the CCM Kirumba Stadium on Saturday, August 25, followed by the match between Kagera Sugar and Singida Black Stars at the Kaitaba Stadium.
Singida Black Stars began life in the top flight with a 3-1 triumph over fellow newcomers KenGold on August 17 and will be looking to maintain their perfect start with another win on the road.
